Last Week in Web3 Gaming (Oct 18, 2023)

Welcome to another multi-chain web3 gaming update! This week includes the massive Thurstober racing collab event, the Amino Rewards incredible partnership announcement, MystenLabs’ next quest event focused on gaming and so much more. Let’s go!
Table of Contents
Thurstober Racing
“Race against other competitors in a first-past the finish line style race”
🔗 Twitter | Website | Discord • ⛓ Algorand & XRPL
The Thurstober Digital Studios team recently announced an exciting racing collaboration which starts today, October 18th, with the related contest starting later this week, Saturday, October 21st. To give you some insight into these events if you haven’t experienced one of them before, it’s when digital assets from other projects are enabled for racing within the Thurstober Discord game. It’s one of our favorite examples of cross-project collaboration and, on top of that, this time it will be cross-chain too with the addition of the XRPL project, Pixel Ape Rowboat Club, who are later featured in this article.
Amino Rewards
“Ultimate Health and Fitness Tokenized Loyalty Program”

Although we haven’t covered Amino Rewards before, we love their business model. Combining blockchain with health and fitness is an overall win-win. Last week they made a huge announcement on their new multi-year partnership with the American Football team, San Francisco 49ers! Be sure to look out for their upcoming, and aptly named, 49-Day Challenge!
Mysten Labs
“Building critical infrastructure to enable a more decentralized internet”
🔗 Twitter | Website • ⛓ Sui
Mysten Labs might not be a game but the quests they run are probably the best adoption-driving game around as they bring lots of exposure to projects on the Sui blockchain. Their latest quest, Quest 3, is all about games and it includes many of the amazing Sui games that we have covered previously. Taking part in the quest, allows you to compete for your share of the not-so-small 5m $SUI prize pool, so don’t miss out.
Fracctal Monsters
“A Play and Earn monster taming game”
🔗 Twitter | Website | Discord • ⛓ Algorand
One of the biggest roadblocks when it comes to adoption in the web3 gaming space is the onboarding experience. Last week the Fracctal Labs team showed off their game’s onboarding process driven by their ingenuity as well as the speed of the Algorand blockchain. Each game that makes onboarding simpler is another step towards activating the true power of web3 enabled gaming.
Pixel Ape Rowboat Club
“Pixel Apes Rowing on the XRPL”
🔗 Twitter | Website | Discord • ⛓ XRPL
We haven’t previously covered the Pixel Ape Rowboat Club (fantastic name) but since they have launched their Rowboat Runner game, we thought it would be a good time to add them in. The game brings back memories from mobile games in the past that you just couldn’t put down, and it’s also a fun connection to their project with the rowboat. Give the game a try and let us know how you do!
AbyssWorld
“A Fantasy Style Space Adventure Open-World Action-RPG”
🔗 Twitter | Website | Discord • ⛓ Sui
AbyssWorld have made some great progress and last week they dropped two videos showcasing their dynamic in-game combat for both warriors and mages, and it’s pretty epic to see. Definitely check them out!
Gunny
“Dominate the power of the inugis in this third person shooter”
🔗 Twitter | Website • ⛓ Algorand
After coming down from a massive two weeks of digital asset shuffles, Gunny has dropped a sneak peak of a new map they are currently working on. This map will have you fighting your way through creatures in order to eventually get to the chamber of the Fire Elemental Boss.
DomiOnline
“Massively Multiplayer Online RPG set in a medieval fantasy world”
🔗 Twitter | Website | Discord • ⛓ Beam
Another project we have not covered before is DomiOnline. If you are an MMORPG fan, this could be a game for you to keep your eyes on. It is planned to be set in a medieval fantasy world which we know will meet the eye for a ton of our readers.
DomiOnline has officially announced that they will be harnessing the power of the Beam subnet for their game. They will be using the Beam SDK in various ways, including on-chain digital assets, in-game storefront and seamless onboarding.
Zerpmon
“1/1 Digital Collectible Creatures & Characters you can battle with through a Discord-Integrated game”
🔗 Twitter | Website | Discord • ⛓ XRPL
Zerpmon releases their digital assets in batches and the latest batch, which was also their largest, sold out in less than 1 hour! The below post lays out some other exciting stats from this project, including them now being in the top 5 collections in all-time total volume on XRP Cafe. Incredible things coming from this team.
Cosmocadia
“A community-based farming game”
🔗 Twitter | Website | Discord • ⛓ Sui
The Cosmocadia team has revealed another feature coming to their eagerly-awaited Demo V2. In the Demo we will be able to earn in-game rewards by completing quests for villagers. This is a super fun way to earn rewards in game and we can’t wait to see what sort of quests will be available!
Walker World
“Massive open world adventure and multiplayer game”
🔗 Twitter | Website | Discord • ⛓ Beam
Walker World is another example of an incredible game in development for the Beam subnet. Open world games open up so many possibilities and great design is so important for the game genre. Walker World showed off their latest WIP region which is a harsh and unforgiving biome filed with rewards for brave explorers! Check out the video below to see for yourself.
This brings us to the end of this week’s edition. We hope that these updates got you as hyped as we are for the web3 gaming space. If you have any feedback, let us know in our Discord. See you next week!
