A huge announcement for all of Algorand gaming was made this week: the release of the Algorand Software Development Kit for Unity! Unity has even created a new category for verified decentralized tools which is so exciting to see. This SDK will be very important for brining more games to Algorand!

Gunny, an upcoming Battle Royale, have some exciting updates this week. The first is the 3D models of some Alchemon NFTs for inclusion within their game. We have spoken before about how collaborations like this excite us as it shows how awesome the blockchain gaming community is; it seems as though everyone is here to support each other and we love to see it!

Secondly, the Gunny team dropped a video showing off their game running on Android! We are fully on-board for all the mobile hype in the ecosystem lately and can’t wait to try out all the games.

After ending the previous season of their Shrine of Powers campaign in Discord, the GushiLand team has launched their new season on the incredible platform, Crew3. This an opportunity for you to earn great rewards for spreading the good word about their game. This season’s prizes include tickets to claim Gushi NFTs which are split amongst the top 3 for the month and weekly sprints during the month! Check it out if you want to support.

They also have a special quest for reading our newsletter this week and the submission code is AGG2000. This grants 2000 XP to the monthly ranking!

A team that we haven’t spoken about in a while is that of AlgoPatties. Their in-development game is a fun looking RPG game where you can go on quests, earn rewards, buy equipment, equip / level up your character and save the world. The team started dropping some of their great development updates from their Discord onto Twitter and things are really coming along nicely!

Slaughtr is an upcoming 3D first-person-shooter cross-platform game on Algorand. We are super excited for the potential of shooter games on blockchain, especially in regards to cosmetics. The Shosha team held a naming content this week to name a new character that they have designed. We don’t think the winning name has been announced yet but they got some great suggestions in the comments such as “Kara Kartal”, “Octavio Inkwell”, “The Amodian” and many more, excited to see the winner!

AlgoSeas has always found great ways to reward their loyal community and players of their idle pirate NFT staking game. As part of their “1 AlgoSkull a day for the whole 2023” giveaway concept, last month they had giveaways based on rare pirate NFT traits and this month, winners will be drawn from wallets who minted an AlgoSkull during the 7 days prior. AlgoSkull NFTs are important for those playing the game as you can use them to revive a dead pirate, which can be extremely valuable if you lose a high stat one!

Alloy is an upcoming, new generation gaming platform ecosystem coming to Algorand. This is an interesting concept where every Alloy Asset is designed to unlock in-game offerings in all games in their ecosystem. This week the co-founder of both Reach and Alloy, Chris Swenor, showed off Alloy’s the 100% on-chain shuffle / pack system and so far it looks pretty impressive.

The team over at Thurstober Racing, one of Algorand’s most popular Discord racing games, just keeps going with the racing collaborations! This time around with Algomonz and Hoipoly which are both incredible Algorand projects in their own right!

The team over at Fracctal Labs released the stats from the first month of MainNet for their game Fracctal Monsters, the monster taming game. The stats are really impressive considering we are in the middle of a bear market!

The team also joined Jetropolis from the Cosmic Ambassadors DAO for another Twitch stream this week and we got to learn so much about the game. If you missed it, you can check out the recording here.

Alchemon, a community favorite monster-collecting and trading card game, added a new feature to the AlcheDex page of their website. This allows anyone to see the related stats, type and mint numbers of the various monsters that have been released as NFTs for the game; a simple, yet useful update!

This week, SoMove, the AR fitness and rhythm game, activated the ability for players to now use NFTs as their clan in-game. This is another fun way to show off your NFTs and we are all for it!

Huge week with lots of exciting things coming up and being announced. The Unity SDK is going to be massive for driving more devs and games to Algorand and we can’t wait to be a part of it!
